A machine tool grinds or polishes a work piece (16). The tool has a component consisting of a radial clamp (2) that is applied to the work piece center, and is worked from both axial sides (16a, 16b). The radial clamp has two or more clamps (3) that are radial with respect to the work piece, and a drive (8). The drive has a fixed primary section (9) and a secondary section (10) fixed to the radial clamp (2), and rotate with the radial clamp.
