Individually adjustable cores (19) inside the mold cavity (16) are used to vary the melt flow resistance in different parts of the cavity so that the melt reaches all areas of the cavity at the same time. An injection-molding method for producing an article comprising an upper part and at least integral connecting part such as a reinforcing part or fastener uses a mold cavity for the upper part which has different length flow channels extending in different directions from a melt inlet. Adjustable cores inside the mold cavity and be set individually in order to provide different flow resistances in the different areas of the mold cavity so that the melt reaches all areas of this cavity at essentially the same time. An independent claim is also included for the mold tool for carrying out this method, comprising a combination of fixed tool half-section (13) and a movable tool half-section (14) including form press cores which can be moved inside a mold cavity for the upper part which is connected to a melt inlet tube (15). Mold cavities (17) for forming the connecting parts are provided inside connection cores (20, 30) and are connected to the mold cavity for the upper part via openings or flow channels (18) containing flow control members.
