The sewage treatment plant comprises a clarifying basin having an under-gravel filter, an equipment having an intermediate tank for a batch-wise feeding of the clarifying basin, and a pipe fitting (15), which is tilted up and down in perpendicular manner and tilted diagonally downwards against the upwardly-acting force in the case of the pipe fitting being filled with waste water. The clarifying basin is fed by a feed pipe from a waste water reservoir, which is designed as a preliminary clarifying basin. The sewage treatment plant comprises a clarifying basin having an under-gravel filter, an equipment having an intermediate tank for a batch-wise feeding of the clarifying basin, and a pipe fitting (15), which is tilted up and down in perpendicular manner and tilted diagonally downwards against the upwardly-acting force in the case of the pipe fitting being filled with waste water. The clarifying basin is fed by a feed pipe from a waste water reservoir, which is designed as a preliminary clarifying basin. The inlet component of a transfer pipe (12) that projects into a collection tank is designed as a lever (8) with an inverted U-shaped element (11). The outlet ending of the pipe fitting is held diagonally upwards due to application of force in the case of the pipe fitting not being filled with waste water. The waste water collection tank is partitioned by a dividing wall (10), through which the transfer pipe passes through, to form a waste water collection segment that contains the inverted U-shaped element and an intermediate segment that is integrated in the collection tank and contains the tiltable pipe fitting. The application of force for holding the pipe fitting in a diagonally upward position in the case of not being filled with waste water and in a diagonally downward position in the case of being filled with waste water from the waste water collection segment takes place by a rope-driven pulley with counter-weight. The feed pipe to the clarifying basin is led through the wall and/or the floor of the waste water collection tank. The pipe fitting is arranged with the outlet ending between two perpendicularly running guide rails, ropes or the like so as to allow an upward and downward tilting and is made of a rigid pipe that is connected with the transfer pipe by a swivel joint. The pipe fitting is made of a flexible tube-like material. The rope of the pulley and the counter-weight as well as the pulley and its holder, suspension, the guide rails, and/or guide ropes are made of stainless steel. The collection segment is partitioned into two separate chambers, to which waste water can be alternately fed, and that in each of the chambers, a lever with the inverted U-shaped element is provided. Each lever is connected with the intermediate segment by an upwardly and downwardly tiltable pipe fitting and the transfer pipe that penetrates through the dividing wall that partitions the waste water collection segments. The feed pipe flows into a multi-axial or radially symmetric distribution head, which is placed at the centre of the clarifying basin just above or on its floor and has a multitude of dividing walls that extend radially from the central inlet region of the feed pipe towards the outside. The mentioned dividing walls laterally demarcate circular sector-like distribution chambers, from each of which, at an outlet pipe fitting that passes through the lateral wall of the distribution head radially protrudes outwards. The floor of the distribution head is designed like a truncated cone, radially protruding outward or to its lateral wall and to the outlet pipe fitting in a downwardly sloping manner. The drainage pipes are arranged to the outlet pipe fitting of the distribution head and lie on the floor of the clarifying basin or held diagonally upward above the floor by supports. The drainage pipes possess outlet openings, which are made to point towards the floor of the mentioned clarifying basin and end in impact plates for a local and complete distribution of the waste water. The outlet pipes have sun wheel-like or radially and spirally curved profile. The floor of the clarifying basin is designed from the distribution head to the lateral wall of the clarifying basin like a truncated cone in a downwardly sloping manner. The floor of the clarifying basin, which is designed in the form of a truncated cone and made of filter gravel, is occupied instead of filter fabrics by filter plates that are welded to one another. The radially outward and downwardly sloping profile of the outlet pipes from the outlet pipe fitting of the wastewater distribution head to the lateral wall of the clarifying basin is ensured using supports, whose height can be adjusted.
