Mobile strapping machine, for horizontal and vertical strapping of crates onto pallets or loading platforms, which comprises a movable carriage comprising a frame supported by castors; a column fixed to the frame; a coil coupled to the column on which is wound a strip of plastic material; and a head coupled to the column capable of vertical displacement in both directions, adapted for supplying, tensioning, soldering and cutting the strip at each strapping operation, characterized strapping because the strapping head is provided with means of rotation which allow rotation of the strapping head in both directions between two stable positions located relative to each other at 90; and it comprises an arm strapping disposed below the carriage frame and spreadability substantially horizontal and so that, in the operations of vertical strapping, is disposed between supports of the pallet or loading platform, with the outer end overhanging the side of the pallet or platform opposite facing the strapping head load.
