Adapter for coupling to the cylinder valves liquefied petroleum gases intended for automotive.; an adapter intended to be attached to valves containing bottles liquefied petroleum gases, in order to allow a controlled supply of gas to the installation of an automotive vehicle wherein said gas is used as fuel is described. The adapter comprises a valve section through which the coupling is made to the outlet valve of the gas container bottle; an intermediate section of hammer intended to prevent water hammer that occurs at the time of the connection can reach connecting the valve, and comprising a shaft, associated with an external control, with a notched end portion to determine a rest condition in which the cut portion closes the gas passageway; and a working condition in which the cut portion paves the gas passage; and a coupling section which in turn incorporates a device over flow which closes the gas passage when an abnormal demand fluid occurs, and backflow preventer which prevents the gas contained in the installation being retracted when the assembly is disconnected of the container bottle.
