A base has a recess shaped according to the flat portion of a sandal made of rubber or similar material. Segments on the lower face of an intermediate ring of the mold is fitted into a strip fixed to the upper part of the flat portion. A chamber in the center of the intermediate ring is closed by a lid. A cunner is fixed between the lid and intermediate ring. The chamber is filled with constitutive material such as cork for connecting the remaining components of the sandal. An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing sandals.
