An electromechanical sensor detects the water stress of plants by measuring the curvature of a metallic sensitive component that is placed around the trunk or branch of a plant comprising a structure having a base formed by tweezers. The structure is formed by two rectangular pieces of aluminum with one semi-circular corner. A microcontroller that amplifies, outputs and stores serves as the core of the system.
