Symmetrical connections are provided for supporting a supply roll that supplies a ribbon of tape to either side of a dispensing arm. Rollers enable entrance and exit of the ribbon to and from both sides of the dispensing arm. Guide rollers send empty ribbon towards a collection roller. A tape applicator at one end of the dispensing arm is designed for assembly on either side to correspond to the right or left hand according to the support position of the supply roll.
