摘要

The invention relates to the preparation and use of metallic nanoparticles that are protected by an organic crust as a system for improving the tribological behaviour of contact surfaces that move in relation to one another. The use of said nanoparticles either in the pure form or dispersed in a continuous medium (aqueous or organic) enables the passage of electric current through the contact being lubricated. The adsorption and/or migration of the metallic nanoparticles in relation to the contact surfaces increases the load capacity and prevents wear without negatively affecting the coefficient of friction. The size, microstructure and chemical composition of the nanoparticles (type of crust and metallic core) can be suitably controlled in order to enable the preparation of formulations that can be used for different applications (dispersants, lubricants, softeners, etc.) for which it is also beneficial for the mixture to be electrically conductive.
