Dissolution system for unuseable tires, has heat carrying fluid supplied into reactor tank storing discarded tires to gradually come into contact with surface of tires and soften tires until tires are dissolved
A heat carrying fluid (2) is supplied into a reactor tank (8) storing discarded tires (1) to gradually come into contact with surface of tires and soften the tires until tires are dissolved. The fluid is heated to 275-350[deg]C by external heaters (3) arranged at the tank bottom for heating the tank. A preheating unit such as a heat exchanger heats the fluid before fluid supply into tank to temperature of 350-450[deg]C. The external heaters are selected from electric, gas, gas oil, fuel heaters, or heaters connected to the exhaust pipes of cogeneration engines. The fluid is selected from used car oil, commercial gas oil used in diesel engines and burners, oil derived from petroleum with a viscosity range similar to that of commercial gas oil, oil obtained by dissolving tires, and oils derived from petroleum which is stable at the temperature of 275-350[deg]C. A tube (6) supplies oil to the tank. The product resulting from the dissolving of the tires is removed from an overflow pipe (5) located in the top portion of the tank which is held at atmospheric pressure. The metal structure of the tire is stacked in the tank after dissolving the tire. The metal structure and the pieces of steel of the tire are removed for recycling.
