Architecture of braking system for aircraft equipped with a plurality of landing gear carrying a plurality of wheels of which at least some are equipped with brakes (1, 2 ... 8), the architecture comprises at least two braking calculators ( A, B) each comprising two modules (A1, A2; B1, B2) so that, in each calculator, one of the modules (A1, B1) controls a first part of the brakes (1, 4, 5, 8) and the other of the modules (A2, B2) controls a second part of the brakes (2, 3, 6, 7) complementary to the first, the architecture being configured to work in one of the following operating modes: - a first normal mode in which the two modules (A1, A2) of one of the braking calculators are active to control all the brakes; - a second normal mode in which the two modules (B1, B2) of the other of the braking calculators are active to control all the brakes; - an alternative mode in which a module (A2) of one of the braking calculators and a module (B1) of the other of the braking calculators are active to control all the brakes.
