A pressurized internal circulating fluidized-bedboiler is incorporated in a combined-cycle electric generatingsystem in which a fuel such as coal, petro coke or the like iscombusted in a pressurized fluidized bed and an exhaust gasproduced by the combusted fuel is introduced into a gasturbine. The pressurized internal circulating fluidized-bedboiler includes a pressure vessel, a combustor disposed in thepressure vessel and a main fluidized bed combustion chamberprovided with an air diffusion device. A thermal energyrecovery chamber is partitioned from the main combustionchamber by an inclined partition wall. A fluidized mediumflows into and out of the main combustion chamber and thethermal energy recovery chamber.A free board is provided integrally above the main combustionchamber and the thermal energy recovery chamber so thatcombustion gas from the main combustion chamber and the thermalenergy recovery chamber is mixed in the free board.
