The invention relates to a method forimproving the shift quality during gearshifting in a gearbox unit (1), containing at leastone gear branch for power transfer via ahydrodynamic clutch (2) which can becoupled in series with a mechanical gearing partcontaining means for realizing at least twospeeds. The invention is characterized inthat: during power transfer via thehydrody-namic clutch during a gear-shift operationbetween two mechanical speeds, the fillfac-tor of the hydrodynamic clutch (2) is soaltered that a variable which at least indirectlycharacterizes the rotational speed of thepri-mary bucket wheel (4) of the hydrodynamicclutch (2) is held substantially constant overa certain range of the gear-shift operation.
