The view-through cellular window covering (10) includes a plurality ofcells (12) arranged parallel to one another. Each cell (12) has at least oneside (22,24, 26, 28), and a joint (31) unites adjacent sides of each cell (12). Theadjacentsides of each cell (12) are pivotable about the joint (30) such that each cell(12)is variably adjustable between a collapsed position and an opened position. Afirst cord (14) includes a plurality of elements (32) positioned therealong,andeach of the elements (32) is engaged to or otherwise attached to one of theuppersides (22, 24) of a corresponding one of the plurality of cells (12). A secondcord (16) includes a plurality of members (34) positioned therealong, and eachofthe members (34) is engaged to or otherwise attached to one of the lower sides(26, 28) of a corresponding one of the plurality of cells (12). Bylongitudinallymoving the cords (14, 16), the plurality of cells (12) can be adjusted betweenthe collapsed position, where adjacent cells (12) are separated, and theopenedpositioned, where adjacent cells (12) contact one another. By collapsing andexpanding the cells (12), the window covering (10) of the present inventioncan achieve adjustable light-control, modulatable view through, lightdiffusion,excellent insulation value, all in an aesthetically pleasing design.
