The invention relates to an improved device (1) forexternal fixation of bone fractures, specifically for anklefractures, of the type adapted for mounting to a unilateralexternal fixator and comprising an extendible central body(2) and opposed articulated portions which are connected torespective ends of the central body by ball joints. The deviceis an ankle clamp having a stem (20), preferably made of atransparent material to X-radiation, with a bifurcate end (21)formed with a pair of prongs (23, 24) having a first jaw portion(40) of a tilting clamp (25) jounalled on a pivot (35) providedbetween the prongs and comprises a second jaw portion (50)coupled to the first jaw portion (40) and fastened thereto by apair of screws (59).
