A collapsible barricade support comprising a horizontal member, four supporting legs positioned in pairs, wherein each pair being pivotally affixed by a hinge at an upper end thereof; an inverted U-shaped member defining a space and extending from the upper end for holding the horizontal member positioned inside the space defined by each inverted U-shaped member; two rubber bands, wherein each rubber band having a first end and a second end attached to the barricade support in such a manner that the first end of each rubber band is affixed to the first connecting means, and the second end of each rubber band is affixed to the second connecting means, and wherein the attached rubber bands contribute to maintain the collapsible barricade support in place and to prevent the legs of each pair of legs from pivoting, about the point at which they are pivotally affixed, towards each other.
