The invention proposes a method for controlling a network comprising the stepsof providing presence information to a user, wherein the presence informationincludes information regarding the presence of at least one other user in anetwork, and providing session handling information, wherein the sessionhandling information includes information about how a session, which can beinitiated to the other user, will be handled. The invention also proposes acorresponding network control device.
