A coated article includes a glass substrate that supports a coating such as alow- E (low ernissivity) coating. In certain embodiments, the glass substrateis formed of a soda-lime-silica based glass composition manufactured using afloat process. In certain embodiments, lithium oxide (e.g., Li20) and/orpotassium oxide (K20) is used in the soda-lime-silica based glass substrate inorder to reduce sodium migration and/or improve surface stability. Such coatedarticles are useful, for example in architectural, vehicular and/orresidential glass window applications.
