The present invention relates to a kind of novel ferromagnetic powder composition, comprise the compound of soft magnetic iron-based slug particle and amounts of lubrication, wherein the slug particle surface is surrounded by the insulation inorganic coating, and compound is selected from silane, titanate esters, aluminic acid ester, zirconate or its mixture.The invention still further relates to the method for making soft magnetic composite material with this novel powder compositions.
