The connector for fastening a tooth wear tip (D) to an adapter (A) on a digging machine implement consists of a key (C) with a thrust zone that is inserted through slots (2.4) and engages with the flat surface of a transverse recess (1e) in the adapter. The slots are made in a rear section of the wear tip that is in the form of a skirt (2) fitting over the rear part of the adapter.
