METHOD FOR SELECTING AUDIO CONTENTS RECEIVED FROM AN AUDIO OR AUDIO-VISUAL RECEIVER AND RECEIVER SELECTING THE CONTENTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE METHOD

The invention concerns a method for selecting audio contents transmitted by broadcasting channels and received by an audio or audio-visual receiver. A user first selects a received content and launches reproduction. Then, the receiver will automatically search among the contents transmitted by the broadcasting channels a content whereof the audio parameters has values close to the values of a content previously selected and reproduces same at the end of the current content. The operation is repeated each time the current content is over. In accordance with an improvement, the receiver is provided with a memory for time-shifting the reproduction of the content thereby providing better synchronization of the reproduction in time of the different selected contents. The invention also concerns an apparatus capable of selecting audio contents derived from several channels and having almost similar audio characteristics and of automatically reproducing same.
