The present invention relates to a method for calculating a conveyance-time-optimized object path for conveying an object from a selectable starting point to a selectable destination in an object conveyance system, in which a probable waiting time ahead of congested nodes is ascertained on the basis of counts from counters associated with the congested nodes, and an object path is ascertained taking account of the total conveyance time along the conveyance paths which the object path contains and the probable waiting times at congested nodes and is associated with an object.
