A device for multiple protocol common route manage and the method thereof suitable for the traditional telecommunication network which is developed to the IP network and compatible with the IP network, and the device includes the common route manage maintain module, MTP3 route manage maintain module and M3UA route maintain module, the user module supported by MTP3 and M3UA, user message process module, common data maintain module and user application maintain module; the router coordination mode of the MTP3 and M3UA includes the backup mode and load divide mod, CRM module needs to be configured the usual router and the backup router respectively in the case of the backup mode, CRM module needs to be configured the load divide proportion of the MTP3 router and the M3UA router.
