METHOD OF USING SPATIAL DIVERSITY TO IMPROVE THE PERFORMANCE OF TRUNKED BROADCAST SERVICE

A method which can increase service covering range of trunked broadcast and decrease the interference on the resource of the trunked broadcast service mainly includes the following steps: (1) judging whether the service transmitted on current slot is trunked broadcast service or not; (2) after judging that the service transmitted on the current slot is trunked broadcast service, transmitting side performs the processing of assigning the same scramble code or no scramble code for data portion of trunked broadcast service bursts, and then transmits the processed bursts on the same slot in the network; (3) receiving side uses training sequence to receive and combine the bursts. By using the spatial diversity method, spectrum efficiency can be increased, inter-cell interference be avoided, decoded signal quality be improved, covering range be increased and the number of the sites required be decreased.
