Multilayered structural composite materials with polybutylene terephthalate barrier layer

Polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) is used as the barrier layer(s) (B) in a multilayer plastic composite material which also contains layer(s) (A) comprising mainly (at least 90 wt%) ethylene homo- or co-polymers and, if required, layer(s) of coupling agent (C) to promote adhesion between (A) and (B). Independent claims are also included for (a) a process for the production of this material by coextrusion-blow moulding; (b) hollow products made from this material, especially plastic fuel containers.
