EXTRACTION METHOD OF ABALONE POLYSACCHARIDE

An extraction method of abalone polysaccharide characterized in that abalone meat (including organs) is obtained by removing abalone shell, broken the wall with a tissue mincer, uniformly mixed with water, extracted at 20 to 80 °C for 2 to 6h, and separated by centrifugation, the insoluble substance is repeatedly extracted for 1 to 2 times by again adding water, and the supernatant is combined. The extract is concentrated to saccharide content of 1.5 to 3.0 percent, precipitated at 0 to 4 °C for 12 to 16h by adding 3 to 4 times volume of 95 percent ethanol, centrifuged and dried by means of vacuum drying or spray drying to give product. The uniform abalone polysaccharide is obtained by purification with Sephadex G-100 or DEAE-Cellulose after removing protein and glucogen. The extraction can also be preformed by alkali extraction, ultrasonic extraction or enzymic extraction. The enzyme extraction can be preformed with a single enzyme, two enzymes, a complex enzyme or the combination thereof. The enzyme used is pepsin, trypsase and so on. There is provided a process of extracting abalone polysaccharide from abalone (especially from abdominal feet and organs thereof), and therefore abalone polysaccharide extraction and separation can be efficiently preformed. There is provided a technical basis for further research due to continuous intensive research on pharmaceutic use of abalone polysaccharide.
