In the agitation vessel, the agitation method, the agitation device, and the analyzer comprising an agitation device, the held liquid is agitated by sonic waves. At least one surface elastic wave element (23) for allowing sonic waves to exit into a liquid (Ls) is provided eccentrically in the agitation vessel (5). The method for agitating a liquid by sonic waves comprises the steps of allowing sonic waves to exit into the liquid asymmetrically and generating asymmetric flow in the liquid by asymmetric sonic waves, whereby the liquid is agitated by asymmetric flow.
