Streams are read out from the Internet via a bidirectional converter. They are converted in a multipoint unidirectional converter and sent to the broadcast system for transmission, via a multiplexer. Receivers forming part of the system, re-assemble selected audio/visual data streams, as from the Internet, for reproduction as audio-visual signals on appropriate sound and/or video equipment.
