Railway wagon with an awning hood comprises an awning hood moved in the longitudinal direction on rollers on rail profiles (1), and lateral load restriction by edge strip profiles (2) arranged on the edge of the loading deck (10). The rail profile and the edge strip profile are joined together to form a one-piece combined hollow rail/edge strip profile (12) having a box- and parallelogram-shaped cross-section with three molded regions forming the roller rail (7), the supporting rail (8), and the edge strip (9). Preferred Features: The combined rail/edge strip profile is a rolled hollow profile, preferably a cold-rolled thin sheet profile.
