The invention relates to a porosimeter measuring the intrusion of low-density fluids. The inventive porosimeter is characterised in that it includes: a precision scale (1) having a sample (3) suspended therefrom; a hydrostatic container (4); a hyperbaric chamber (2) containing the precision scale (1), the hydrostatic container (2), the sample (3) and the low-density fluid (5); a controller (7) for controlling the level of liquid in the hydrostatic container (4), which is connected thereto and which is located outside of the hyperbaric chamber (2); and a pressure control system (8) which is associated with a computer system (6) which acts (i) on the controller (7) which controls the quantity of liquid entering the hydrostatic container (4) at any time and (ii) on the precision scale (1) which measures the mass of the sample (3) over different periods of time and the quantity of low-density fluid (5) absorbed by same.
