A MULTICAST DISPOSING METNOD, MULTICAST METNOD AND APPARATUS AMONG IPv6 ISLANDS

A multicast disposing method among IPv6 islands is in the network communication field. In order to solve the problem in the prior art that the IPv4 multicast communication among the IPv6 islands can’t running in the IPv4 network, in the said method, the multicast parameters are negotiated by which the local multicast parameters are transferred each other via IPv4 network, and then a multicast service tunnel is established in IPv4 network to realize the IPv6 multicast communication in IPv4 network according to the results of the negotiation. Also, there is a multicast method among Ipv6 islands. A service provider border apparatus comprises a multicast parameter setup unit, a multicast parameter transferring unit, a multicast parameter negotiation unit, a multicast service tunnel establishment unit and a multicast neighbourhood establishment unit. The present invention needn’t to upgrade the prior IPv4 core network, and the IPv6 apparatus added recently may be connected into the prior IPv4 network at any moment, which have good flexibility and expansibility.
