The invention relates to a tool for the deaf providing access to a medical emergency service, which removes communication barriers and prevents the involvement of third parties in a full mobility environment. For this purpose, a medical information gathering application is integrated into a mobile device and said mobile device is integrated into the operation of the emergency service. The invention also enables a prediagnosis to be established by the emergency service in a highly-reliable manner owing to the simplicity and ease-of-use of the medical information gathering application installed in the patient's mobile device.
