STACKING AND TRANSPORT VEHICLE FOR CONTAINER TRANSSHIPMENT PLANTS AND WAREHOUSES

A stacking and transport vehicle (3) for container transshipment plants and warehouses comprises a vehicle frame with wheels (7, 8, 19), propulsion units, a spreader (2) for holding containers (1) of different dimensions, a telescopic lifting arm (4) with hydraulic cylinders (11) arranged between the vehicle (3) and the lifting arm (4), and a driver's cab (9). One side of the telescopic lifting arm (4) is arranged by means of an articulation (12) so as to swivel on a bearing block (6) over the front wheels (7). The hydraulic cylinders (11) between the vehicle (3) and the telescopic lifting arm (4) are located approximately at the centre of the vehicle (3). A free space (14) in which containers (3) can be transported hanging from the spreader (2) is located in the rear region of the vehicle (2), with the centre of gravity over the wheels (8). The advantage of the invention is that containers (1) can be transported in the longitudinal direction between container rows that can be very narrowly spaced at a relatively high speed and in a small space. The vehicle (3) is suitable for stacking containers in container transshipment plants and warehouses and for loading and unloading containers on vehicles of all types.
