The device (D) has a management module (MG) adapted to carry out multimedia stream connections between internal communication terminals (T1-T3) when a main communication session is set up and dedicated to a multimedia conference call between the internal terminals. The module sets up a parallel call between an external communication terminal (T4) and a requested internal terminal during an attempt to set up the parallel call between the external and internal terminals.
