A medicinal liquid infusion apparatus having a novel mechanism different from conventional mechanisms and a method of controlling the medicinal liquid infusion apparatus are provided. The medicinal liquid infusion apparatus (100) comprises a first cylindrical and slidable presser (190) capable of performing at least one of the pushing and the pulling of the overall or a part (621) of a piston (620) movable in a syringe (600); and a second cylindrical presser (200) capable of performing at least one of the pushing and the pulling of the overall or a part (622) of the piston (620) movable in the syringe (600) and slidable through the inside of the cylindrical first presser (190) independently of the first presser (190).
