Address allocation for an IO-system

A dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) server (3) allocates Internet protocol (IP) addresses. A control device (4) communicates with the DHCP server so as to activate IP addresses during an operation and calls for an IP address for itself and for all input/output devices (1) administered by it, which take up this IP address from the control device.
