A protective assembly for a threaded end of a pipe, comprises an open threaded protector (1) having an internal thread (3), and a protector bumper (5) at the external periphery of its upper end (4) and having keyways (6) formed thereon; and a blank cover (2) having a plurality of tabs (8) at the internal periphery of its lower end (7), and a covering lid (9) formed at the upper end (10) thereof and having torque keyway (13) and a plurality of internal projecting ribs (11) for preventing mutual rotation between the cover (2) and the threaded protector (1).
