The unit has a constant voltage source to directly supply direct current voltage from an alternating current voltage power line. The source has a series connection of a zener diode (40), a rectifier diode (48) and resistors (44, 46), where the resistor (44) is combinedly bridged with the zener diode by a buffer-capacitor (52) . The constant voltage source is designed with a filter capacitor (42). The zener diode is connected in parallel to an electrolytic capacitor. A light emitting diode (LED) (50) is connected in series with the diode (40) and the resistors.
