METHOD FOR SEARCHING IS-2000 PAGING CHANNEL DURING 1XEV-DO TRAFFIC AND MOBILE PHONE IMPLEMENTING THE METHOD AND METHOD FOR INFORMING MOBILE PHONE IN 1XEV-DO TRAFFIC MODE OF THE TIME TO SEARCH IS-2000 PAGING CHANNEL

A method for searching an IS-2000 paging channel during 1xEV-DO(Evolution Data Only) call, a mobile communication terminal adopted with the method, and a method for notifying the mobile communication terminal which is in 1xEV-DO call whether the IS-2000 paging channel is searched in a 1xEV-DO system are provided to search the IS-2000 paging channel only when the 1xEV-DO system notifies that the searching is necessary, through a control channel, without periodically searching the IS-2000 paging channel, thus reduction in data throughput of the terminal can be prevented. If a control channel is incoming in 1xEV-DO data speech state, a mobile communication terminal confirms whether a paging channel search field is set as '1'(S510). If so, the terminal searches a paging channel of an IS-2000 system(S520). If a message for voice call connection is included in the paging channel of the IS-2000 system(S530), the terminal performs a voice call through the IS-2000 system(S540). If the voice call is terminated, the terminal continues a 1xEV-DO data call(S550).
