An information distributing system for distributing, to receiver terminals, programs comprising pictures, sound, data and/or the like, wherein a suitable distribution can be always achieved without delay of reproduction even in different usage environments. When a receiver terminal (10) receives information (1000) that confines candidate programs for services, a transmitter (20) distributes, to the receiver terminal (10) in non-real time, a front sequence data group (1004) of a sequence constituting the candidate programs. The receiver terminal (10) then stores the front sequence data group into a storage part (100). When a user enters information (1100) for selecting, from among the candidate programs, a reproduced sequence for actual viewing, the transmitter distributes, to the receiver terminal in real time, the subsequent sequence data (1202) of the reproduced sequence. The receiver terminal reproduces and displays the front sequence data stored in the storage part (100) until the time when the reproduction of the subsequent sequence data becomes possible, and thereafter, switches to the reproduction and displaying of the subsequent sequence data.
