A cellular phone for sensing secession from a safety zone and a safety zone secession alarming method in the cellular phone are provided to enable a cellular phone itself of a ward to monitor the fact of secession from a safety zone, and to notify a guardian in case of the secession from the safety zone, thereby notifying the guardian of the secession in real time. A transceiver(110) makes voice and data communication possible through a mobile communication network. A GPS(Global Positioning System) receiver(120) receives a satellite signal from an artificial satellite, and calculates the current position from the received signal. A safety zone information storage(150) stores border information on a safety zone set by a guardian. When the current location information of a cellular phone is received, a safety zone secession decider(140) decides whether the current location information is included within the safety zone perceived through the stored safety zone border information, and if a ward secedes from the safety zone, the decider(140) transmits a safety zone secession notify message through the transceiver(110).
