SESSION CALL PROCESSING METHOD FOR NEGOTIATING SESSION BETWEEN ACCESS TERMINAL AND ACCESS NETWORK IN PACKET DATA NETWORK

A method for processing a session call for the session negotiation between an AT(Access Terminal) and an AN(Access Network) in a packet data network is provided to minimize the failure of session calls and to efficiently use system resources by clarifying a session call processing process in a packet data network. In case that session re-establishment is made, the DCC(Do Call Controller) of an AN creates a session establishment start request message to a DMC(Do Media Controller)(S001). The DMC packetizes the session establishment start request message and transmits it to a DEC(Do channel Element Controller)(S002). The DEC transmits the message to an AT through a downlink traffic channel(S003). Then, if the AT transmits a session establishment request message to the DEC through an uplink traffic channel for initial session establishment(S101), the DEC transfers the message to the DMC(S102). The DMC depacketizes the message and delivers it to the DCC(S103). The DCC creates a session establishment response message for the session establishment request message and transmits it to the DMC(S104). The DMC packetizes the session establishment response message and transmits it to the DEC(S105).
