A method for controlling an inputting operation with a movement of the pupil and a mobile communication terminal thereof are provided to make it possible to operate the mobile communication terminal only by the movement of the user's pupil such that the user can perform a call connection to the other side or smoothly operate each application stored at the terminal even in case that the user drives a car. A mobile communication terminal comprises a key inputting unit(100), a display unit(102), a program storage unit(104), a mode state storage unit(106), a microprocessor(114) and a camera(108). The key inputting unit(100) enables a user to request conversion of a current mode into a pupil inputting mode in which the terminal can be controlled by character buttons, number keys and the movement of the pupil. The display unit(102) displays an operation state including a usage state of a power source, RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indicator), date and time, and displays each application to be executed according to the movement of the pupil. The program storage unit(104) stores a real time operating system, a call processing software, and a software for capturing the movement of the pupil which analyzes the movement of the pupil, controls an inputting operation and drives each stored application. The mode state storage unit(106) stores a current operation mode selected via the key inputting unit(100), sets a state flag in case that the software for capturing the movement of the pupil is driven, and stores the set state flag.
