An MB-MM(MultiBand-MultiMode) mobile communication terminal and a location registration method for the MB-MM mobile communication terminal in a mobile communication system are provided to prevent power consumption by the transmission of excessive transmission power for location registration. A master modem(210) transmits a location registration signal to the first mobile communication network(270) only when receiving signal strength information received from the first mobile communication network(270) is greater than a predetermined threshold value. When information on receiving signal strength information is less than the threshold value, the master modem(210) enables a slave modem(220) to transmit the location registration signal to the second mobile communication network(280).
