An eco-friendly river bank protection structure are provided to form an ecological habitat space and to prevent the partial loss of a river bank against external impact such as flood or inundation by coupling many steel columns on the top of a foundation block tightly. An eco-friendly river bank protection structure comprise: an H-shaped foundation block(50) buried under the bottom of a river bank; a support frame located on the top of the H-shaped foundation block and formed by coupling a rear steel bar(11), a middle steel bar(12) and a front steel bar(13) using vertical steel frames; a rear steel column(20) provided with coupling holes to be fixed to the rear of the support frame using coupling nuts; a front steel column(30) provided with coupling holes to be fixed to the front of the support frame using coupling nuts, many flow velocity reduction grooves to reduce the velocity of flowing water and an ecological habitat space formed inward; and a finishing plate(40) provided with coupling holes to fix a horizontal steel frame of the support frame and fixed to the inside of the rear steel column using a coupling nut to prevent the outflow of riprap(60).
