A reinforcement apparatus for reducing lateral vibration of a truss bridge and preventing overturn of a truss bridge when lifting up is provided to reduce excessive lateral vibrations remarkably while trains are running, to prevent an upper truss from overturning or falling in advance at earthquake, to disperse excessive upper load such as dead weight of a truss and railway load and to lift up a bridge stably at repair work. A reinforcement apparatus for reducing lateral vibration of a truss bridge and preventing overturn of a truss bridge when lifting up is formed by coupling an overturn preventing member(10), which is composed of a bridge seat(11), a bridge bearing(12), a diagonal member(13), a splice plate(14) and a bolt(15), on the lower part of a truss(3). Hereon the reinforcement structure is formed by installing the bridge seat on the appropriate part of the top of a pier(1), installing the bridge bearing on the bridge seat and coupling the splice plate to the appointed outer part of an upper chord of the truss using bolts, and installing the diagonal member between the splice plate and the bridge bearing at 45~60‹ against a horizontal plane and at the corresponding height to one third of the height(h) of the truss from the bottom of the truss.
