PURPOSE: A bearing housing supporting structure and a tub structure for a drum-type washing machine are provided to stably secure the strength of a tub for high-speed rotation by dispersing effectively load applied on the tub and to save the materials. CONSTITUTION: A bearing housing supporting structure of a drum-type washing machine is composed of a tub assembly comprising a cylindrical tub(2) composed of side and rear wall surfaces and installed with a drum therein and a bearing housing(4) installed in the rear side of the tub. The bearing housing comprises a central hub unit(4a) and four bridges units(4b) extended from the hub unit and accordingly the bearing housing is held at the tub in four spots. The front end of the bridge unit of the bearing housing is fixed and supported at four sports on the side wall of the tub.
