A wastewater treatment facility control system capable of easily correcting and expanding the system by an easy program while controlling a wastewater treatment facility efficiently, and a method for operating the wastewater treatment facility control system are provided. In a wastewater treatment facility comprising: a water tank divided into a flow equalization tank and a reactor; pumps; a chemical pump; and a blower, a wastewater treatment facility control system comprises: sensors installed on the flow equalization tank and the reactor respectively to sense water levels thereof and sense dissolved oxygen of the reactor; an AD converter(110) connected to the sensors to transmit the converted digital signals to the control means by converting analog signals from the sensors into digital signals; control means(120) which forms an electrical circuit together with the AD converter, is connected to the AD converter, and controls operation of the pumps and the blower through the input and output terminal means using signals of the sensors transmitted from the AD converter and a control signal generated according to a pre-programed process; input and output terminal means(130) which forms an electrical circuit together with the control mean and is connected to the control means to reciprocally connect the control means and the pumps and the blower; and power supply means(140) for supplying a power source to the respective components.
