Provided is a receiving cabinet installed on the entrance of an apartment house and method of using the same, thereby enabling a user to widely utilize a bottom space in front of the entrance by inserting the receiving cabinet into a wall. The receiving cabinet includes a receiving portion(10) and a light portion(20). The receiving portion is installed in the vicinity of the entrance of the apartment house, and has a height of the receiving portion formed from a bottom surface to a ceiling surface and a full-length mirror(12) installed on an outer surface of the receiving portion toward the entrance. The light portion is installed on both sides of the receiving portion, and has plural lamps(22) illuminating user's features at a front of the full-length mirror. The light portion is formed in a rectangular plate having a length larger than a width.
