A system and method for providing wire/wireless Internet image communication by using a mobile communication terminal having a built-in camera are provided to perform the image communication by using video information photographed through the camera of the mobile communication terminal after connecting the camera-embedded mobile terminal to a personal computer, thereby reducing costs required to buy an additional web camera. A wire/wireless Internet image communication system comprises the followings: a camera-embedded wireless terminal(100) which can perform a voice call and data communication through a radio access network(108), and photographs an image of a user; plural wired terminals(102) which provide an image communication environment by driving an image communication application according to the video information photographed in the camera-embedded wireless terminal(100); and an image communication service server(106) which is connected with the plural wired terminals(102) through an external Internet network(104), and realizes the image communication environment between the plural wired terminals(102) by processing video information of the plural wired terminals(102).
